    1.0 out of 5 stars
Do Not Waste your time - no calibration nor customer service
From Customer Service to the product, please save yourself the time and frustration that I have spent. I purchased the MOOV 500 in October 2008.

This GPS has a large and bright screen. The satellite connection is fast. The database is useful. And if you look around hard enough, you may find it at sale prices as low as $120, which would be a great value.

Then why did I give it just 3 stars? First, the antenna reception is mediocre. The database is basic. The software is not the most intuitive. Instead of “Stay on the highway”, the voice instruction says “Keep left”, which still confuses me sometimes. The suction cup does not work on dashboards that are not smooth, e.g. the Ford Focus I rented the other day. And last but not least, the battery lasts a laughable 5-10 minutes. This GPS is strictly for cars. But, at least, the car kit is included.

I asked for a basic GPS for Christmas and got this one. I know nothing about GPS so I have nothing to compare it too. The first place we were going was to the Philadelphia zoo as we live in NJ. We know how to get there, but wanted to see how the Mio worked. I hit Points of Interest and it didnt have it!! I mean the Philly zoo!! Since we didnt have an exact address then your out of luck. It has come through for several other locations and I think it might have been a fluke on the zoo. I get frustrated because you keep having to enter the state every time you search. It should remember what state you live in. Also there is no way to get back to the maps after you have been toying around with it, only by hitting the back button like 5 times, then map button again. There should be a button on the screen at all time to take you directly back to the map without the rabbit trail. SO far it has gotten us to our locations correctly.

I just bought this GPS at radio shack and it works great. I have been able to find my way through Boston and Portsmouth, NH both a hard to navigate through.

I would not spend over $200.00 on it though.
